Taking Breaks

Your PRs will stall and your body will feel beat up eventually. Most people double down and do more. Do the opposite of that.

After 6 completions, take a mandatory break

After doing each workout 6 times, take a mandatory break. This is when your body actually will catch up to the work fully. This break will be a 7th time through:

Option 1 — Warmups and feelers only (ideal)

Do your warmup and feeler sets, but skip the work set entirely. Walk out feeling refreshed instead of wrecked.

Option 2 — Skip it

Don't go at all. Rest completely. Do something else with your time.

Oftentimes your life will cause a forced break before 6 in a row anyways. You get sick, you go on vacation, something always happens. When you come back, just count that as a deload and pick right up again for the first time through.

The training plan is specifically designed for these moments to occur. Go live your life.
